(IMWA)            <\/h2>\r\n                            <p class=\"desc_p\">\r\n                Maj Gen (Dr) Rajesh Chopra, AVSM (Retd) has had an illustrious military career spanning over 37 years.  The general officer is credited with various staff and command appointments, notably command of a mechanised infantry battalion, an armoured brigade, an infantry division, director military operations at the army HQ, Major General in charge Doctrines &amp; Concepts and chief of staff of a Corps. The officer has attended numerous prestigious courses in India and abroad and distinguished himself as commander of an Indian military task force in war torn Angola (Africa), as part of the UN mission.\nThe General  is recipient of the prestigious ATI VISHISIT SEVA MEDAL (AVSM), (Padma Shri equivalent) by the honorable President of India, Dr Ram Nath Kovind in Nov 2021.\nA Double M Phil and Ph D, post retirement, the General had stints as Defence Consultant, Vice President of an International Wool Company, Defence Banking Advisor with State Bank of India, prior to assuming charge of the present appointment.
